On 28 June, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, made a working trip to the city of Arkadag, where he familiarised himself with the progress of construction of the second phase of facilities and held a meeting with the relevant officials. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

During the visit, the Hero Arkadag emphasised the importance of complying with modern architectural standards, durability and national style in the construction of facilities. The National Leader of the Turkmen people gave instructions to speed up the pace of construction and ensure its high quality.

In honour of the second anniversary of the city's founding, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the introduction of 5G technology, which is in line with the ‘smart city’ concept. The new connection will be especially useful for healthcare and digital services.

Several projects were also presented, including the design of the ‘Ahalteke atlar’ avenue, the improvement of the park and the architecture of a new mosque. The Hero Arkadag emphasised the need to combine national traditions with modern solutions.

As part of the celebrations, hundreds of families are to be given the keys to new comfortable homes. In addition, it has been proposed to organise an exhibition of folk art to support the development of crafts and the country's cultural heritage.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov called for ensuring the proper quality of all work and keeping the process under constant control.
