Turkmen judoka Oguljan Ruslanova won a bronze medal at the Quba Millennium Team Cadet European Cup 2025, which concluded in Azerbaijan, where 354 athletes from 12 countries participated. This was reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan: Golden age".

A student of the 11th grade of secondary school No 61 in the Charjev etrap of the Lebap velayat competed in the weight category up to 70 kg, where 18 athletes from eight countries contested for medals. In her first match, Ruslanova achieved a swift victory over Azerbaijan's Rena Akhmadova, finishing the bout with an "ippon" in 30 seconds. In the second match, despite trailing during the encounter (with an assessment of "yuko" and two penalties), she managed to compose herself and secured a clear victory over the Russian Sofia Yarmantovich, who competed under the flag of the International Judo Federation (IJF).

In the semifinals, the Turkmen athlete lost to Georgian Nini Dzagania by a point "yuko" in a tense fight. However, in the fight for third place, Ruslanova demonstrated confident technique and, thanks to the "waza-ari" assessment, defeated another representative of Russia - Alina Chekmareva, securing a place on the podium.
