At an international forum in Ashgabat, a representative of NOKIA presented technological solutions for the energy sector in Turkmenistan and discussed prospects for expanding cooperation with Turkmen partners. This was reported by TerraNews.

The expert noted the high level of organisation of the forum and emphasised that NOKIA has been cooperating with the state-owned company ‘Altyn asyr’ for more than 20 years. During this time, a significant part of the national telecommunications infrastructure has been built using the company's equipment. One of the key areas of current cooperation is the development of a fifth-generation (5G) network throughout the country.

As the NOKIA representative noted, the introduction of 5G technologies will contribute to the digital transformation of various industries, including the fuel and energy complex (FEC). For enterprises located in remote areas, it is especially important to ensure stable communication and digital monitoring.

In this regard, NOKIA offered the Turkmen side cooperation in the implementation of projects on video surveillance of infrastructure facilities, as well as in the field of technical support for logistics and navigation solutions for the energy sector.

NOKIA confirmed its readiness for further fruitful cooperation with Turkmen partners.
