On 16 April, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov started his working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation. The programme of the visit includes participation in the XVI International Economic Forum ‘Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum’, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.

For Turkmenistan, participation in this large-scale event is seen as an important component of multilateral dialogue with the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world, aimed at strengthening long-term partnerships in the political, economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
