The Makhachkala Sea Trade Port is discussing with Turkmenistan opportunities for joint work in the field of transit transportation, according to the news website Asmannews.

It is planned that the route between Turkmenbashi and Makhachkala will be able to transport Russian products to Central Asian countries.

The port has specified that logistics routes are currently being developed that would allow cargo from Russia to travel through Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as in the opposite direction.

In addition, a scheme is being considered for the delivery of goods from China to Makhachkala via the ports of Aktau and Turkmenbashi.
