The ‘Luban Workshop’ has opened in Ashgabat at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas. The project aims to train specialists for the oil and gas industry and to develop educational cooperation with China. This was reported by AsmanNews.

The ceremony was attended by a delegation led by Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and First Deputy Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.

It was noted that the development of education and science remains one of the priorities of Turkmenistan’s state policy. Particular attention is being paid to the training of qualified personnel and the introduction of advanced foreign expertise. The role of cooperation with China in the fields of education and technology was emphasised. The opening of the ‘Luban Workshop’ is seen as a step towards expanding humanitarian ties and the exchange of expertise.

The centre is equipped with the latest technology. Students and young professionals will be able to study technologies in the fields of geology, drilling and information systems. It is expected that the centre’s work will contribute to the training of personnel for the oil and gas industry and the introduction of modern solutions into the educational process.
