At a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the meeting and his compatriots on the upcoming 34th anniversary of independence and the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

Hero Arkadag emphasised that independence and neutrality are a source of national pride and the foundation of the state's unity and the country's achievements.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the further prosperity of Turkmenistan is possible through the consolidation of existing achievements, economic development, increased investment activity, digitalisation, job creation and infrastructure modernisation, including the construction of a ‘smart city’ in Arkadag.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasised the importance of educating young people in the spirit of national pride, love for the country and the labour traditions of their ancestors, preserving cultural heritage and the country's active participation in international cultural diplomacy.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty noted the successes of young people in sports, at international Olympiads and festivals, as well as the achievements of the healthcare system and the activities of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasised foreign policy priorities, including strengthening cooperation with the UN, promoting peace and trust, and preserving neutrality as an asset of all humanity.

Hero Arkadag expressed confidence that the measures and initiatives taken will strengthen the country's international authority, ensure the well-being of the people and the further prosperity of Turkmenistan, and that love for the country remains the highest value of every citizen.
