On 29 June, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The Head of Uzbekistan congratulated the Hero Arkadag on his birthday, wishing him health and success, and also noted his contribution to strengthening Turkmen-Uzbek relations.

The sides emphasised the high level of trust and mutual understanding between the two countries, the active development of cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and educational spheres, as well as regular interdepartmental dialogue.

Special attention was paid to the importance of interaction between the parliaments of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In conclusion, the interlocutors reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership and exchanged warm wishes to the peoples of the two countries.
