President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov accepted the credentials of the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan, Faryal Leghari. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The Ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes from the leadership of Pakistan, noting Turkmenistan's peaceful policy.

The Head of State congratulated the diplomat on her appointment and expressed hope for her contribution to the development of bilateral ties. The sides emphasised the importance of cooperation in politics, economics, energy, transport, education and culture.

Special attention was paid to joint projects, including the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline and other infrastructure facilities. The President of Turkmenistan noted that these initiatives contribute to the development of the region.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed her readiness to work actively to strengthen Turkmen-Pakistani relations.
