The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at Ashgabat International Airport, TDH reports.

The guest was welcomed according to Turkmen tradition—with bread, salt, and flowers. This was followed by a brief meeting between the two leaders.

Hero Arkadag thanked the President of Turkey for participating in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. It was emphasized that Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit reflects support for Turkmenistan’s foreign policy course and its neutral status.

The President of the Republic of Turkey expressed gratitude for the invitation and highlighted the importance of the forum as a platform for discussing further international cooperation based on the principles of peace and trust.

Both sides reaffirmed their interest in strengthening Turkmen-Turkish relations and expressed confidence that cooperation will continue to develop across a wide range of areas.
