On 9 October, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan Hiroshi Sasaki. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the negotiation, the parties emphasised the dynamic development of Turkmen-Japanese relations, covering the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The participants discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation within international structures, in particular the UN.

The interlocutors confirmed the mutual interest of Ashgabat and Tokyo in further strengthening comprehensive partnership in areas of common interest.
