On 9 October, Myahri Byashimova, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan, met with Dragan Aleksoski, Deputy Director of the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). This was reported by the press office of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed priority areas for cooperation and the coordination of efforts to address global migration issues.

Particular attention was paid to providing assistance to migrants in emergency situations, as well as to the prevention and combating of human trafficking.
