The President of Turkmenistan awarded medals to agricultural workers on Harvest Day
10.11.2025President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree awarding a group of citizens with the ‘Watana bolan söýgüsi üçin’ medal, timed to coincide with the Harvest Holiday. This was reported by TDH. High state awards were presented for significant contributions to strengthening the country's independence and sovereignty, developing agriculture, loyal service to the Motherland, and many years of conscientious work. The medal was awarded to representatives of various sectors of the agricultural complex — specialists in agricultural and water management structures, machine operators, livestock breeders, tenants of dayhan associations, agronomists and workers of food industry enterprises from all regions of the country. As noted in the Decree, the award is intended to encourage citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development of agriculture in Turkmenistan and the strengthening of the country's food security.
Turkmenistan and Mauritius discussed cooperation in Islamabad

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan presented his credentials to the President of Indonesia

Turkmenistan expands cooperation with Indonesia in education

An autumn planting campaign has begun in the city of Arkadag
09.11.2025The official launch of the autumn mass greening campaign was held in the city of Arkadag. The event, reflecting Turkmenistan's commitment to ecological development and environmental improvement, was attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by IIC of Turkmenistan. The event was accompanied by a festive programme, musical performances and elements of symbolic support for environmental initiatives. In the morning, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived at the venue, where he was greeted by participants in the campaign and creative groups. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by performances by artists, performers and the national equestrian sports group ‘Galkynysh’. During his speech, the Hero Arkadag noted the importance of preserving cultural heritage — from musical traditions and equestrian art to carpet weaving and Alabay breeding. The key moment was the planting of the first tree, after which mass planting began. Thousands of residents of all ages joined the initiative, supporting the idea of expanding green areas in the country.
The President of Turkmenistan took part in the autumn stage of the planting programme
09.11.2025Turkmenistan has launched the autumn stage of a large-scale greening programme, under which around three million trees have been planted across the country. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also took part in the campaign, personally planting a tree, according to the news website Asmannews. The main work took place in Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag, where approximately one and a half million seedlings were planted, with the same number planted in the velayats. Deciduous, coniferous and fruit trees, as well as grapevines, were used. The campaign continues the state's environmental strategy: since 1998, over 300,000 hectares of forest have been planted, and over the past five years, green areas have increased by 18%. The goal is to reduce desertification by 40% by 2030. Government agencies, environmental organisations and residents took part in the campaign. Modern methods are used for greening, including drip irrigation, which covers about 70% of new plantings. Seedlings are grown in 12 specialised nurseries. International organisations have recognised the country's efforts: Ashgabat has received a UNECE certificate for its contribution to the ‘Trees in Cities Challenge’ initiative. In addition, work is underway to green desert areas to strengthen dunes and protect land from erosion.
Turkmenistan is ready to expand cooperation within the framework of the ‘C5+1’
