The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States organized a series of events in the states of Montana and Wyoming on April 28-29 this year, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality and the development of academic cooperation. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Consul of the Embassy S. Pirmukhammedov held talks with the leadership of three American universities: Montana State University (MSUB), Northwestern College (NWC) and the University of Wyoming. Meetings with MSUB Provost Stephanie Hixvoy, NWC President Lisa Watson and University of Wyoming representative Jill Johnson focused on prospects for cooperation in developing educational programs in business, medicine, agriculture, energy and other areas. Within the framework of the visit, presentations on “Turkmenistan's Permanent Neutrality: 30 Years of Peace and Diplomacy” were held, which aroused keen interest among teachers and students. Special attention was paid to meetings with Turkmen students studying in American universities. The events demonstrated mutual interest in strengthening academic ties between Turkmenistan and the United States.
On April 29, 2025, a cultural event aimed at strengthening friendship between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan was held at the secondary school No. 8 named after Makhtumkuli Fraghi, located in Dusti district of Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The initiative was realized with the assistance of the Union of Writers of Tajikistan, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tajikistan, the school administration, as well as the Cultural Society of Tajik Turkmens. The meeting was attended by writers, poets, representatives of mass media, educational institutions, local authorities and students. The speeches emphasized the humanistic content of the poetry of Makhtumkuli, who sang the ideas of peace, justice and harmony. An exhibition demonstrating the richness of the artistic heritage of the Turkmen and Tajik peoples was organized as part of the event. The meeting was brightly concluded with the performance of the dance ensemble of the Cultural Society of Tajik Turkmens, which performed the traditional Turkmen dance Kushtdepdi, becoming the culmination of the cultural program.
The delegation of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan paid a working visit to the West Saxony University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (Germany) from April 26 to May 3. During the visit, important meetings and events aimed at strengthening international cooperation in the educational sphere were held. This is reported by the Internet publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”. The Turkmen representatives met with the leadership of the German university and discussed prospects for further partnership. Vice-rector of the Turkmen institute Kakabaya Hodzhanepesova delivered a lecture for students and teachers on the International Year of Peace and Trust. Familiarization with the laboratories of the University allowed the Turkmen delegation to assess modern scientific developments in the field of automotive, mechanical engineering and digital technologies. WHZ, located in the historical center of the German automotive industry, is known for close cooperation with industrial enterprises, including Volkswagen. This visit was an important step in the development of partnerships and exchange of experience between the educational institutions of the two countries.
