Turkmenistan and China strengthen cooperation in digital education

Within the framework of the XXIV International Multinational Exhibition and Conference ‘White City Ashgabat’ on 24 May, Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev held a meeting with Director General of Inspur Software of the People's Republic of China Zhao Shaoxiang. It is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. According to the source, during the meeting Gurbangeldiev presented the programmes implemented in the country to improve the quality of the education system, including the ‘Concept of Development of Digital Education System’, and stressed the importance of cooperation with China in this area. In turn, Zhao Shaoxiang shared China's experience in digital transformation of education and expressed readiness for cooperation. He also noted the established co-operation with the Turkmen association ‘Aýdyň gijeler’. Following the talks, the meeting participants expressed confidence in further strategic partnership between the two countries.


The Turkish delegation's visit to Turkmenistan continues

A delegation of the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey, headed by its chairman Erol Ozvar, is paying an official visit to Turkmenistan from 21 to 24 May. According to the source, during the visit, key meetings were held with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva and Minister of Education Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev. The programme of the visit also includes visits to Turkmen universities, where the representatives of the Turkish delegation will meet with their leadership and get acquainted with educational programmes. Turkmenistan takes part in international conference in China

From 21 to 25 May, the delegation of Turkmenistan is taking part in the international conference ‘Industry, Education, Research and Practical Cooperation along the Silk Road Routes - 2025’, which is being held in the Chinese city of Xi'an. The event is organised by the Department of Education of Shaanxi Province. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. The delegation included representatives of leading universities of Turkmenistan. G.Rejepova, a teacher of the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, made a speech on behalf of the delegation. In her report, she stressed the importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in ensuring peace and sustainable development, as well as the participation of Turkmen youth in educational programmes in China. Universities of Turkmenistan and China organised a webinar in the format of video communication

Turkmen youth take part in an international forum in Dushanbe

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyyev met with Turkmen students at the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU). Winners of international Olympiads were awarded in Turkmenistan

On 20 May this year, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan held an award ceremony for students who won prizes at prestigious international Olympiads. This was reported by the Internet publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’. At the 25th Asian Olympiad in Physics in Saudi Arabia, Myahriban Kakamuradova from Mary velayat won a silver medal, and Jumadurdy Nuryev and Dovlet Annamuradov received encouragement awards. In Brazil, Rustem Jumaev took silver at the International Mendeleev Olympiad in chemistry, and bronze medals went to Diyar Dovletov, Aigul Atadjanova and Jeren Akmuradova from the Ashgabat specialised school. Turkmen schoolchildren achieved special success at the Al-Khwarizmi Olympiad in Uzbekistan, winning 12 awards: gold for Hemra Gurbanov, three silver and eight bronze medals. The winners received valuable gifts from the Magtymguly Youth Organisation and the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The students expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov for creating conditions for quality education and the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge at the international level.


Turkish delegation arrives in Ashgabat to strengthen cooperation in the field of education

A delegation of the Turkish Council of Higher Education, headed by Chairman Prof Erol Ozvar, has arrived in Ashgabat. Turkmen delegation met with a representative of Google for Education
