On 21 November 2025, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia held an international conference in Tbilisi dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Parliament of Georgia, heads of state structures, heads of diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited in the country. Also participating were a Turkmen delegation, scientists from the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, employees of the Georgian National Centre of Manuscripts, the writing community, rectors and teachers of universities, the private sector and the media. Opening the meeting, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia, D. Seyitmammedov recalled that the 30th anniversary of Neutrality is being celebrated at the international level. He recalled that the UN has recognised Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality status three times. Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Georgia A. Khvtisiashvili congratulated Turkmenistan on the anniversary and noted that the policy of neutrality makes a significant contribution to maintaining international peace. He emphasised that relations between Georgia and Turkmenistan are based on mutual respect and cover politics, economics, transport, energy, education, culture and sport. Rector of the Georgian Technical University D. Gurgenidze noted the important role of cultural and humanitarian exchange in strengthening bilateral cooperation and creating conditions for long-term academic ties. The event ended with a concert by Turkmen performers. Guests were also offered national dishes of Turkmenistan.
A forum entitled ‘Neutrality and Humanism: Comprehensive Support for an Inclusive Future’ was held in Ashgabat to mark World Children’s Day. Participants discussed issues related to the protection of children's rights, the development of international cooperation and the application of global practices in this area. This was reported by TDH. The forum noted that support for the younger generation remains one of the key areas of state policy. The event was joined by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and the UNICEF Representative Office in Turkmenistan. Guests viewed an exhibition presented by departments of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. The exhibition reflected the current programmes and projects of these departments. Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice-President for Medical Activities of the Charitable Foundation, emphasised that the organisation and UNICEF are working to strengthen health and education systems and to support children in need of social assistance. After the main part of the programme, tennis competitions for children with disabilities were held at the Olympic Village Tennis Complex. During the forum, it was noted that the development of mass sports and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle remain important areas of focus in the country.
Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova presented a report on the restoration, reconstruction and protection of historical and cultural monuments during a government meeting on 21 November. This was reported by the state news agency TDH. As part of the ‘State Program for 2022-2028 for the careful preservation of objects of National historical and cultural heritage, their protection and study, and attraction of tourists to them,’ scientific research and restoration work was carried out on national heritage sites in the spring and autumn of this year. The above measures covered the monuments of ‘Paryzdepe’, the mausoleum of ‘Mane Baba’, ‘Juma Mosques’ in the fortress of ‘Ancient Abiverd’ and the settlement of ‘Dehistan’, the caravanserais ‘Karawansaray’, ‘Dayahatyn’ and ‘Akjagala’, as well as the ‘Ancient Amul’ fortress. The third issue of the collection ‘Traces of Centuries’ has been prepared for the international scientific community. Work is also underway to transfer the finds to the State Museum and the Arkadag City Museum of History and Local Lore. After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of studying and promoting cultural heritage and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to continue working to preserve it for future generations.
On 21 November, during a government meeting, Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva, Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, reported on plans to send young citizens of Turkmenistan to study at universities in China and Hungary. This was reported by the state news agency TDH. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that Turkmenistan gives priority to the training of qualified personnel and is expanding opportunities for modern education abroad. After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of comprehensive training of specialists and recalled that thousands of students are already studying at prestigious foreign universities. The Head of State supported the proposal to send young people to leading educational institutions in China and Hungary in the 2026–2027 academic year and instructed B. Orazdurdyeva to organise the necessary work.
On 20 November, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Germany (Frankfurt am Main) held a formal reception to mark the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, and International Neutrality Day. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission. The event was attended by representatives of the State Chancellery of the Federal State of Hesse, diplomats, employees of financial and banking institutions, cultural and scientific figures, the Turkmen diaspora and students. In his address, the Consul of Turkmenistan in Germany, Myrat Ozbekbayev, emphasised that neutral status has remained the basis of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy for three decades, contributing to regional stability, the development of international cooperation and economic growth. The Diplomat noted the peace initiatives put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Particular attention was paid to the International Forum, which will be held on 12 December in Ashgabat and will be dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. The guests were shown videos about Turkmenistan's achievements and the country's peacekeeping policy. The participants discussed the role of the country's neutrality in the international arena and tasted traditional Turkmen dishes.
A meeting between Atajan Movlamov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, and Salem Mohammad Salem Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan. Movlamov congratulated his colleague on the presentation of his credentials to the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, and wished him success in his work. The Diplomat also provided information on the activities of the diplomatic corps and planned initiatives. The parties discussed the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE and expressed their readiness to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest. A concert by Polish pianist Wojciech Waleczek was held at the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan. The musician performed alongside the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, conducted by Rasul Klychev, according to IIC. In the first part of the evening, Wojciech Waleczek performed works by European composers, including Claude Debussy's ‘Clair de Lune’ and Franz Liszt's ‘Rêve d'amour’. Compositions by Beethoven, Mozart and Paganini were also performed. The second part of the concert featured Frédéric Chopin's ‘Piano Concerto No. 1’. The orchestra accompanied the soloist, emphasising the leading role of the piano. The concert was held as part of European Culture Days and attracted the attention of classical music lovers.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan on 24–25 November. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Rashid Meredov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, according to TDH. It was noted that Turkmenistan is consistently developing cooperation with neighbouring countries. Diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan have been in place since October 1992. The intergovernmental partnership is expanding and covers various areas. The parties have formed a legal framework comprising 180 documents. Regular visits and contacts at the highest level remain a key tool for strengthening ties. The countries interact in international organisations, primarily the UN, and support each other's initiatives. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of Kazakhstan as a close partner of Turkmenistan and instructed the Foreign Affairs Minister to ensure preparations for the visit.
The delegation from Turkmenistan, which is on an official visit to France, visited the Musée de l'Homme in Paris. Representatives of the Turkmen side familiarised themselves with the main exhibitions dedicated to the anthropological and cultural heritage of the peoples of the world and learned about the museum's scientific and educational programmes, according to IIC. The tour was conducted by Julio Bendezu-Sarmiento, an archaeologist at the French National Centre for Scientific Research and Head of the Franco-Turkmen archaeological expedition. He talked about the structure of the museum and its collections and answered questions from the delegation. A meeting was also held with the Head of the research group at the French National Centre for Scientific Research. They discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation: joint projects, exchanges of specialists and participation in international programmes. The visit to the museum was part of the official programme of the visit and strengthened professional and scientific ties between Turkmenistan and France.
The third Saudi International Handicrafts Week is being held in Riyadh from 13 to 26 November 2025 under the patronage of Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan. Among this year's participants is a delegation from Turkmenistan. The country's State Academy of Arts presented handmade carpets, traditional silver jewellery and ceramics, according to the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan. Representatives from more than 40 countries and over 400 Saudi artisans are participating in the forum. The project is being implemented as part of the Year of Handicrafts 2025 and is aimed at strengthening the business potential of artisans by providing them with additional market opportunities and a platform to promote their products. Oguljennet Mollayeva, a lecturer at the Academy, noted that the Saudi Arabian government's initiative creates significant opportunities for promoting national cultural heritage and popularising Turkmen carpet weaving, which is included in UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Her colleague Shazada Orazberdiyev presented guests with an exhibition of national jewellery — ‘gulyaka’, ‘tumar’, ‘bilezik’ — talking about their traditions, symbolism and place in Turkmen culture. Hezretguly Annageldiyev, a teacher at the Academy, demonstrated his original ceramic works: vases, jugs, figurines and other items. According to him, each work is dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and reflects the desire of the masters to bring a modern artistic touch to the craft tradition.
The Fourth International Forum ‘Woman of the Third Millennium’ was held in Moscow, with representatives of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan taking part. The event brought together women leaders, entrepreneurs and cultural figures from Russia, the CIS countries, Asia, Africa and Europe. This was reported by Turkmenportal. The forum's agenda focused on sustainable development, expanding opportunities for women's entrepreneurship and strengthening international partnerships. Participants discussed issues related to preserving cultural heritage, supporting crafts and traditions, and strengthening the role of women in the business environment. Turkmenistan was represented at the relevant sections by members of the Central Council of the Women's Union: Ogulsabyr Berdiyeva, Senior Lecturer at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and Jennet Agayeva, Director of the private enterprise ‘Jennet tagty’ and Head of the Centre for Women's Embroidery Art. A Turkmen delegation, under the headship of Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice-President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, took part in the IV International Forum ‘Commonwealth of Fashion’, which was held on 19–20 November in St. Petersburg. The forum was dedicated to the development of intergovernmental cooperation, interaction between public and charitable organisations, as well as issues related to promoting a healthy lifestyle and supporting socially vulnerable groups, according to AsmanNews. During the visit, meetings were held, including negotiations with Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. These contacts marked new directions for humanitarian cooperation during Turkmenistan's chairmanship of the CIS. The programme included a visit to the Hermitage, where materials related to the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan are on display. The Turkmen side emphasised the importance of preserving and studying the national cultural heritage. Oguljahan Atabayeva also held negotiations with Ekaterina Dibrova, President of the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for the Development of Biomedical Technologies. They discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of medical technology implementation, exchange of practical experience and development of joint projects, especially in the area of prevention and treatment of diseases in children. In the session ‘It is Fashionable to Be Healthy,’ the Vice-President of the Foundation presented Turkmenistan's position on the development of the healthcare system. She noted the work on the implementation of the ‘Saglyk’ programme, measures to protect children's health and support motherhood, as well as the state's efforts to foster a culture of healthy lifestyles. In addition, Oguljahan Atabayeva met with the First Deputy Chairperson of the Commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, Diana Gurtskaya, and the Head of the ‘Georgin’ Foundation, Ekaterina Rogozhina. The negotiations focused on joint programmes to support children, including rehabilitation and the use of new treatment methods. Following the meetings, the parties noted that deepening humanitarian contacts contributes to strengthening Russian-Turkmen cooperation and developing mechanisms to help children in need of medical and social support.
