The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov, arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit on 4 August. This was reported by the news agency Orient. From 27 July to 3 August, the 32nd International Mathematical Competition (IMC-2025) was held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, where Turkmen students achieved impressive results. The competition, organised by University College London and the American University of Bulgaria, was attended by 434 students from 52 countries. This was reported by the online publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’. Medine Odaeva and Nurmyrat Atayev from the International University for the Humanities and Development won gold medals. Silver awards went to Kerim Toylyev (IUHD) and Shabibi Nurjanova (Magtymguly Turkmen State University). From 30 July to 4 August 2025, the Turkmenistan national kurash team successfully represented the country at the 14th Asian Championships in the South Korean city of Geosan, where approximately 600 athletes from more than 25 countries participated. At the end of the competition, Turkmen athletes won 16 medals: 1 gold (Sabina Kadyrova in the weight category up to 78 kg), 6 silver and 9 bronze. This was reported by the IIC.
