According to the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, a rich programme has been organised for the children: they visit parks and amusement parks, take part in sports activities, participate in cultural events and enjoy beach holidays on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Turkmenistan participated in a forum on the development of AI technologies in CIS countries

The forum adopted the ‘World Youth Peace Initiative.’ The initiative calls on young people to actively defend peace, develop intercultural dialogue, support sustainable development, combat climate change and use scientific and technological progress for the benefit of all humanity. Turkmen developers won Grand Prix at international hackathon

Their development, SalesShortcut, is an advanced artificial intelligence system for the complete automation of sales processes, capable of independently finding customers, analysing market trends, preparing commercial offers and conducting negotiations. This was reported by the online publication ‘Turkmenportal’. The large-scale competition attracted a record number of participants – over 10,000 professionals from around the world. The organisers noted 500 projects submitted and the creation of more than 1,500 unique AI agents. A special feature of the event was the participation of not only IT specialists, but also representatives from various fields, ranging from education to fundamental science. The regional winners included cutting-edge developments from North America, Latin America, the Asia-Pacific region and Europe, each offering innovative solutions in their field. Major overhaul of export locomotives for Turkmenistan completed in China
09.08.2025CRRC Ziyang Co., Ltd. has successfully completed a major upgrade of a batch of diesel locomotives delivered to Turkmenistan in 2005. This was reported by Turkmenportal. The ceremony was attended by Berdi Saryev, Deputy General Director of JSC ‘Demirýollary’, Vepa Akmyradov, Director of the Locomotive Bureau, Baymyrat Atayev, Director of the Office, as well as CRRC Ziyang management and specialists. The contract for the overhaul was signed at the end of 2024, and in May 2025, the first batch of locomotives returned to the factory for comprehensive maintenance. The work included the repair of key components — bogies, diesel engines, electrical systems — as well as the installation of modern control, safety and ergonomic systems. Since the start of cooperation in 2004, CRRC Ziyang has delivered 294 locomotives to Turkmenistan, accounting for over 98% of domestic rail transport. The modernised trains will soon be delivered to the country for commissioning.
Turkmen experts participated in a seminar on industrial parks in China
05.08.2025A group of Turkmen specialists took part in an international seminar on the construction and management of industrial parks, which was held in the Chinese cities of Tianjin and Shenzhen from 17 to 30 July this year. The event, organised by TEDA (Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Area) with the support of the Chinese government, brought together representatives from five Central Asian countries. This was reported by the online publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’. The Turkmen delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. As part of the programme, participants visited leading economic zones in China and studied modern approaches to the design and management of industrial parks. Particular attention was paid to environmentally sustainable solutions, including ‘green’ technologies and emission control systems. Chinese colleagues shared their experience of integrating industrial, residential and business areas into a single urban space, taking into account transport accessibility and a comfortable environment. The knowledge gained and professional contacts established will contribute to the modernisation of the construction industry in Turkmenistan and the introduction of innovative solutions in the development of the country's industrial infrastructure.
Turkmen scientists studied the experience of Spanish technology parks for the development of innovation
05.08.2025From 27 to 30 July, representatives of the International Scientific‑Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan visited Spain to study the experience of innovative centres and establish international cooperation. This was reported by the online publication Turkmenportal. During the visit, the Turkmen delegation met with the Chief Executive Officer of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) Ebba Lund. The negotiations focused on the Turkmen technopark's accession to the association. A presentation on the activities and development prospects of the Turkmen Scientific‑Technological Park was given to the Spanish side. An important part of the programme was a visit to the ‘MalagaTechPark’ technology park in Malaga, which brings together 770 resident companies and provides jobs for 25,000 specialists. The Park has significant experience in agriculture, biotechnology and digital solutions. Following the visit, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in the implementation of joint scientific projects, exchange experience in the creation of free economic zones and the commercialisation of scientific developments. These initiatives are aimed at further developing Turkmenistan's innovative infrastructure.

03.08.2025Foreign delegations continue to arrive at Turkmenbashi International Airport to take part in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3). This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal. Among the first participants to arrive on charter flights to Avaza were delegations from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Three charter flights have already been completed. A total of about 30 charter flights are expected to arrive at Turkmenbashi International Airport during the forum.
