On 27 June, Turkmenistan celebrated the Day of Workers of Culture and Art and the poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy. The week of culture dedicated to this date ended with a gala concert of masters of the arts in the ‘Türkmeniň ak öýi’ building in the ‘Nowruz ýaýlasy’ valley of the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat, according to the state news agency TDH. Throughout the week, exhibitions, concerts, theatre performances, conferences, seminars and creative evenings were held in different parts of the country. Both stage artists and young representatives of the cultural sphere took part in them. Special attention was paid to the creative legacy of the great poet and humanist Magtymguly Pyragy. At the foot of the monument built in Ashgabat, a flower-laying ceremony was held with the participation of members of the Mejlis, representatives of public associations, the media and students. The central event was a festive concert featuring performances by folk and distinguished artists, folklore and dance groups. A special place in the programme was given to compositions based on poems by Magtymguly Pyragy and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as the traditional dance kushtdepdi, included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.
An international group of researchers has recorded the first appearance of a caracal cub in the Garabogazgol basin. The unique images were captured using camera traps as part of a joint project between the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland and Team Bars Turkmenistan, according to the news website Turkmenportal. The discovery confirms the reproduction of this rare species in the country and marks the northernmost point where caracals have been recorded in Turkmenistan. Caracals are rare and elusive predators that play an important role in the region's ecosystem. The population has been monitored since 2024 and covers key natural areas, including the Kaplankyr Nature Reserve and the Ustyurt Plateau.
The FIFA Executive Football Summit 2025 was held in Miami (USA), attended by the Chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, Guvanchmuhammet Ovekov, and the Secretary General of the FFT, Serdar Geldiyev. During a working visit to Brussels, the Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, Maksat Hudaykuliev, met with the Secretary General of the World Customs Organisation (WCO), Ian Saunders. The meeting was also attended by Sapar Palvanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Belgium, according to the news website Turkmenportal. M. Hudaykuliev confirmed his desire to expand cooperation with WCO, including projects on risk management and staff training. Special attention was paid to the training centre at the State Customs Service, which has been granted the status of a regional training centre. The ambassador conveyed official invitations to the Secretary General of the WCO to attend the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and the High-Level Dialogue on Peace. The Secretary General of the Organization accepted both invitations and confirmed his participation in the August forum. On 27 June, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree establishing the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The decision was made as part of the implementation of the ‘Programme of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028’ and is aimed at supporting the business sector and developing a system for training qualified personnel. According to the document, the decision of the Board of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan to establish a new higher education institution has been approved. The Ministry of Education has been instructed to provide comprehensive support in organisational and legal matters, including the development of the charter, licensing and state accreditation in accordance with the established procedure. The new university will train specialists in accordance with international educational standards. The start of student enrolment is scheduled for the 2025–2026 academic year. It is also planned to attract foreign teachers and experts to improve the quality of the educational process. It is planned to determine the areas of training, approve curricula and tuition fees.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the contribution of Japanese companies, including ITOCHU Corporation, to Turkmenistan's industry and expressed readiness to expand partnership, especially in new areas. At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan thanked the Executive Vice President of ITOCHU Corporation for his contribution to strengthening bilateral ties and wished him success in his future work.

The aviation personnel training school of the ‘Türkmenhowaýollary’ agency has reached an important professional milestone by receiving the ‘Trainair Plus’ certificate from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). This prestigious certificate opens up new opportunities for training aviation specialists not only at the national level, but also internationally. This was reported by the IIC. Employees of the Scientific Centre for Strategic Studies at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held an introductory online meeting with representatives of the Global South Centre of Excellence ‘DAKSHIN’ from India. This meeting was the latest in a series of meetings aimed at establishing working and business contacts between Turkmen analysts and their foreign colleagues, according to the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’. During the meeting, Professor Gulshan Sachdeva presented the activities of the DAKSHIN Centre and expressed readiness for mutual cooperation. On 25 June, the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and the Kangwon National University of the Republic of Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This event marked an important step in strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of science and education, according to the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’. During the signing ceremony, the parties outlined plans to exchange experience and methodological materials, implement joint scientific and educational projects, improve the qualifications of teachers, and organise academic exchanges. A delegation from Turkmenistan took part in the VII International Conference ‘Information and Communication in the Digital Age’, which was held from 25 to 27 June in Khanty-Mansiysk as part of the XVI International IT Forum and UNESCO's intergovernmental programme ‘Information for All’. The conference was attended by about 120 delegates from more than 40 countries, including experts in the field of IT, politics, scientists, journalists, as well as representatives of educational and cultural institutions. The Turkmen delegation included Esen Hojaguliyev, a lecturer at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of Turkmen public organisations Begmuhammet Meredov and Kadyr Amandurdyev. The event included plenary meetings, sessions and round tables on issues related to digitalisation, the development of artificial intelligence, information security, cyber hygiene and cultural diversity in the digital age.
On 27 June 2025, a working meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs M. Byashimova and a delegation from the British export finance agency UK Export Finance (UKEF), led by Regional Director for Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Shebnem Alp.
