Turkmenistan and Kuwait discussed expanding cooperation in the UAE

Turkmen weightlifters continue their successful performance at the Asian Games

Turkmen weightlifter Islam Akmyradov, competing in the 94 kg weight category, won a silver medal in the clean and jerk event, lifting a barbell weighing 185 kg. In the snatch event, he added a bronze medal to his collection with a result of 146 kg, according to IIC Turkmenistan. Another bronze medal for the national team was won by weightlifter Saparbay Atajanov, competing in the over 94 kg weight category. On the previous day, Didarbek Jumabayev won gold and bronze medals, setting an Asian Games record in the clean and jerk. Leyla Yusupova won bronze in kurash. Thus, the Turkmenistan national team now has six medals: one gold, one silver and four bronze.


Turkmenistan promotes cultural cooperation at UNESCO session

A delegation from Turkmenistan, under the headship of the country's Minister of Culture Atageldi Shamyradov, is participating in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which is being held in Samarkand from 30 October to 13 November. Turkmen para-powerlifters won four medals at the World Championships in Cairo

From 5 to 20 October, in Cairo, the World Para Powerlifting Championships were held, bringing together 527 participants from 70 countries. After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of modernising the transport sector, improving the quality of services and introducing digital services, instructing the Deputy Prime Minister to take measures to increase passenger and freight traffic volumes.


Turkmenistan's construction and industrial complex exceeded its target for 10 months

On 31 October, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on the work of the construction and industrial complex for January–October of this year during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. By ministry, the figures were as follows: construction and architecture – 113.8%, industry and construction production – 106.2%, energy – 109.7%, State Concern ‘Türkmenhimiýa’ – 100.1%. The State Agency for Road Construction fulfilled the plan by 103.4%, and the work of the Ashgabat city administration is estimated at 109 million manats. After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to increase the efficiency of the complex's enterprises and develop electricity production, and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep the activities of the State Concern ‘Türkmenhimiýa’ under control.


Turkmenistan demonstrates growth in oil and gas production over ten months

The oil refining plan was fulfilled by 108.6%, gasoline production by 107.5%, diesel fuel by 100.7%, and natural and associated gas production by 101.8%. After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the need to increase the efficiency of production capacity utilisation and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep geological exploration and drilling operations under control.


Financial plans for next year presented in Turkmenistan

This was reported by the news website Asmannews. The Deputy Prime Minister presented a report on macroeconomic indicators for January-October 2025. During this period, GDP growth amounted to 6.3%, including: industry – 1.7%, construction – 8.1%, transport and communications – 10.4%, trade – 9.7%, agriculture – 5.2%, services – 8.3%. Production volume grew by 10.1%, retail turnover by 13%, and foreign trade by 9.2%. The revenue side of the budget is expected to be fulfilled at 100%, and the expenditure side at 96.3%. The average wage increased by 11.9%, and all social payments were financed in a timely manner. The volume of capital investments grew by 3.7%. The President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of developing the financial, economic and banking sectors, instructing that their work be improved. The Deputy Prime Minister also reported on the draft State Budget for 2026, prepared as part of the ‘Programme of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028’. The document provides for investments in the development of the country's industries and regions. The Head of State signed a document on submitting the draft State Budget to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan for consideration.


Turkmenistan and Palestine discussed strengthening interparliamentary cooperation
