On Remembrance Day, 6 October, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov laid flowers at the ‘Halk hakydasy’ Memorial Complex at the monuments to the victims of the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake and national heroes who died in wars. Turkmenistan took part in the UNECE Sustainable Energy Week in Geneva. The delegation was led by Vekilmuhammet Ussayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Concern ‘Türkmennebit’, according to the Orient news agency. During the meetings, strategic directions for the development of global and regional energy systems were discussed. The main theme of the event was ‘Just Transition for Building Resilient Energy Systems.’ Representatives of Turkmenistan emphasised the country's balance between the use of hydrocarbon potential and the introduction of ‘green’ technologies. The forum focused on cooperation between SPECA countries and the role of energy as the basis for economic interaction. Discussions covered the development of renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, the digital transformation of systems and training, as well as issues of sustainable mobility and access to modern technologies. From 30 September to 4 October, a delegation from Turkmenistan led by Minister of Rail Transport Mammet Akmammedov visited Abu Dhabi to participate in the ‘Global Rail’ international exhibition and conference. Yazmyrat Serayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United Kingdom, has published an article in the international publication ‘Diplomat Magazine’ dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. From 3 to 4 October, a delegation from Turkmenistan led by Gurbanmyrat Mezilov, Rector of the Oguzhan Engineering and Technology University, visited Tokyo. Meetings with representatives of Japanese government agencies, scientific organisations and companies was held as part of the visit, according to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. On 3 October, the delegation discussed projects for training specialists, academic exchanges and joint programmes for universities in Turkmenistan with D. Nagai, Deputy Director of the Innovation Center for NanoMedicine at the Kawasaki Institute of Industrial Promotion. The parties discussed the prospects for the introduction of nanotechnology in Turkmenistan, the training of young scientists and the possibility of Turkmen students doing internships in Japan. Negotiations were also held with the Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Association for Scientific and Technical Cooperation, H. Koinuma, where new areas of partnership, the holding of conferences and the expansion of exchange programmes were discussed. In addition, a meeting was held with M.
