From 21 to 23 May 2025 in Ashgabat in the hotel ‘Archabil’ the training ‘Modern methods of conducting classes’ was held within the framework of the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA-10). During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on 23 May, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva presented a plan of events timed to the World Bicycle Day. On 22 May 2025, a high-level round table on land and ecosystem conservation in the Aral Sea basin was held in Ashgabat. An organisational seminar dedicated to the launch of a joint project of the Government of Turkmenistan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on the development of the National Animal Identification and Traceability System (NAITS) was held in the capital's Archabil Hotel on 20 May this year. A regional training programme for young diplomats from Central Asian countries was held in Ashgabat from 12 to 16 May. The organisers were the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan and the Government of Turkmenistan with the support of the Swiss and Italian Embassies and UNFPA. The training took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and brought together 26 participants from five countries of the region. For five days, the young diplomats practised skills in international relations, gender equality, sustainable development and climate negotiations. The programme included lectures, seminars and simulation exercises. Senior representatives of Turkmenistan, the UN and diplomatic missions spoke at the opening ceremony. At the end of the training, participants expanded their knowledge of the UN system, strengthened their professional skills and laid the foundation for future co-operation.
